[ It's not a lie, the Waverider is always a possibility. But the truth was he'd been busy and hadn't wanted to stop.

He's pretty sure saying that would just get him pinched again, though. ]

[ The bandaid is neon and has cartoon robots on it. Appropriate considering the demographic of grown-ass men too invested in picking fights or finishing their projects to worry about keeping their blood inside of their bodies. ]

Do it again and you're getting Barbie.

[ He stares at Len for a moment, looking puzzled, like he wants to do something but isn't sure of what. ]

I like dinosaurs.

[ Then he remembers kissing is allowed now, so he leans in to do that. ]

[ Leonard wasn't expecting that. He's surprised for a moment, tense, because he doesn't like surprises- then his kisses Ray back. Breaks the kiss to whisper against the corner of his mouth. ]

Bad boys don't get dinosaurs.

[ Ray can't help laughing. He feels better than he has in months, lighter. ]

I can be good.

Keep your fingers attached and you can get another snake.

[ Leonard remembers. All the random factoids about Ray's life and childhood are kept neatly stored in his brain for future mockery and/or usage. ]

Nothing big enough to eat a canary. We already lost one.

[ This time the laughter turns guilty very quickly. There's a topic there he hasn't touched, he's not sure if Sara has either. ]

Wow, I don't think we should go there.

What? She came back.

[ He rolls his eyes and pulls back to kick his legs up over Ray's lap. ]

Sara couldn't stay dead if she tried.

[billionerd]

[ Ray leans back, resting his arms on top of Len's legs. This is very much not his secret to tell, but technically he's known for months and it's probably better if Len avoids that particular joke around Sara. ]

Not Sara, Laurel. I'm not there yet, timeline-wise, but I'm pretty sure Sara is.

She didn't say anything.

[ Leonard tries not to look as shaken as he feels. He crosses his arms over his chest and finds something to look at on Ray's bench. Anything but into his eyes, where Ray might see that he's upset.

Losing Lisa is Leonard's worst fear. Big sister or little sister, he can't imagine that fear realized. ]

It ain't our business.

She didn't say anything to me either, not this time anyway.

[ He can't relate to the feeling, nor the fear. He hasn't really had a brother in ages.

He can relate to lose, though, and grief. And he can tell Len's affected, also that Len doesn't want him to notice, so he just pats his leg. ]

I don't think she meant to tell me the first time she was here, it was just recent. I think it slipped out.

Sara's a big girl. She can tell who she wants. You don't need to be her PR.

[ He rolls his eyes and rests his chin in his palm. There's a moment of silence as the upset washes over him, but in a minute or two he's over it. For now. ]

Besides, I'm the one who came up here with the heart-attack coffee and baked goods. Less Sara, more me.

Right, sure. I'm getting Mick an Atari, what do you want?

[ He kneads at Len's leg, looking at him. They're weirdly similar in some ways, they can both compartmentalize very well, as easily as changing shirts. ]

[hypothermic]

[ Ray's like a giant kitten. His big hands feel good rubbing into Leonard's sore muscles. He idly plays with a scrap of wiring, twisting it between his fingers. ]

A lightsaber.

[billionerd]

[ He can't help laughing. Of course Leonard would ask for something absurdly complicated. ]

I actually know how to make one. How dangerous do you want it to be?

Do you have to ask?

[ A smirk, flipping the wire between his fingers. ]

Red or blue?

[ His eyes go from Len's smirk to the wire he's playing with, wondering if he's planning to do something with it. ]

[hypothermic]

[ If by something in mind he means flicking it at Ray, with the intent to get it down the front of his shirt. ]

Red would clash with my wardrobe.

[billionerd]

[Len scores and Ray sighs like he's dealing with a 5 year old]

If you want me to take my shirt off, you can just ask.

[hypothermic]

Take it off.

[ He wants to see if Ray will put his money where his mouth is. ]

[billionerd]

[ He's taking it off even before Len's done telling him to, and shaking it until the wire falls down.

... then he throws the shirt at Leonard because he is an adult. ]

[hypothermic]

[ He's not expecting that. The shirt catches him full-on in the face. Which, as he's leaning back on the stool with his legs over Ray's lap, is enough to throw him off balance.

Ray won't see the surprise on his face, but he will see his arms flail out and feel Leonard's legs lift. It's a slow-mo 'oh shit' moment that has to be seen to be believed. Leonard's never been more graceful. ]

[ This has happened before, the first time they kissed and Ray can't help laughing even as he grabs Len's legs to help him recover his balance.

He'll pay for the laughter, he knows, but he can't help himself. ]

[hypothermic]

[ With Ray's help he's able to right himself, yanking the shirt off his face in the process. ]

Hey! Best watch yourself, Haircut. You wanna get kissed again?

[ He scowls and gives Ray's stomach a light kick, but he can only hold it for so long before cracking a smile. Chuckling, then laughing, arms wrapped around himself.

Leonard doesn't laugh often. There's just something about Ray that brings it out in him. Maybe because they keep ending up here. In this strange, comfortable place. ]

You mean you didn't do it on purpose so we'd end up kissing?

[ The first time Len had kissed him to shut him up; this time it's Ray who leans in, before Len stops laughing. ]
