[ He considers attaching a picture but figures it's better if they see the place in person. More impressive that way.
After sending the message Ray puts his device away and heads to the motel room, there's no point in waiting for a reply since he's heading back there anyway. ]
[ Leonard doesn't get the text. He's a light sleeper, and under normal circumstances the buzz of the device would be enough to wake him. Snapping to consciousness the moment another body enters his space is just one of his many survival skills. He can go from dead asleep to wide awake in the blink of an eye.
No one catches Leonard Snart off-guard. Not without a handful of roofies and a bottle of Jack. Not until now, anyway.
Opening the door to find Leonard naked, lying face down on the bed, his neck and shoulders (and just about everywhere else) red and purple with bruises, Ray might assume he's walked into a crime scene. Before he can panic or call the only cop in the area, Leonard shifts and sighs in his sleep.
Someone's made a half-assed attempt to cover his body, but the sheets have gotten caught up in his legs.
It might have been someone's intention for him to be found like that, but who would do such a thing? The rogues are such a wholesome, modest bunch. ]
[ Ray doesn't see him right away, he's carrying some blueprints and a hammer, both hands busy. He pushes the door closed with a foot and makes it halfway into the room before he catches sight of the bed.
And then he drops everything he's holding.
And the hammer lands on his foot. ]
OW! [ The yelp comes immediately followed by a more quiet "Fuck!" and an even quieter "Shit!" and it's all topped off with a resigned "Dammit." ]
[ Forget sleeping beauty, Ray makes enough noise to wake the dead.
Leonard is awake and armed before Ray can finishing swearing. Gun in hand, trigger compressed and barrel emitting a threatening hum. Charged and ready to fire the second his finger twitches.
It should be funny, because he's naked and the gun casts a blue light over his bare skin, making him glow in the relative dark, but the look on Leonard's face is anything but amused. His chest rises and falls quick and shallow, eyes wide and alert. ]
I was one second away from blowing your head off. You're lucky I was still half-asleep.
[ Leonard exhales and lowers the gun. Ray's clearly a bigger threat to himself before anyone else. How he's survived this long as his own worst enemy is beyond Leonard's comprehension. He's right up there with pandas on the list of cute animals bumbling their way to self-extinction.
Another deep breath. Trying to swallow his heart down out of his throat and back into his chest. Ray's already seen him naked, but he'll be damned if Ray sees him scared.
He forces a smirk and shifts back onto one elbow, one long leg pulled up in front of him and the other stretched out to dangle over the side of the bed. Shameless. Distracting. ]
[ Last time Ray pointed out Leonard was scared it had ended up in a kiss. And they'd both been fully dressed. And this time Leonard is very much not.
So maybe, just maybe commenting on it isn't a great idea. ]
Aren't we past this?
[ He means the facade. Leonard won't let Ray pretend he's fine when he isn't, he should get the same courtesy. Ray means to elaborate but he gets distracted by how naked Len is, he sees the bruises and the bite marks and he has to force himself to look away. ]
Sorry I startled you.
[ He knows he's turning pink and he knows that's what Len wants. He doesn't really feel like getting teased, so he flops on the floor to rub at his foot. Because that is the mature thing to do, clearly. ]

[ He really wants to rub at his foot but he doesn't want to get shot. This is a problem. ]
