[ That's a yes, Len wouldn't be annoyed otherwise. ]
Sorry. [ He takes a bite of his bagel, suddenly hungry. ] Did you want to discuss your tip? [ The words are said between bites, while fighting back a grin. ]
[ Leonard kicks his feet up onto the lower rungs of Ray's stool and leans one elbow on the bench. Making himself comfortable. He's not going anywhere. ]
[ He shifts to the edge of his stool and picks up a piece of chipboard, leaning across Ray's legs to put an elbow on the table to look at it through a magnifying lens. ]
Yeah. [ He gestures at a bunch of half-peeled cables with his wrapped hand. ] It should take me a couple of days if I can stay focused. It's harder than I thought.
Any reason you didn't use the first-aid kit that's hanging literally in front of your face?
[ It's mounted to the wall above Ray's work bench. Literally in front of his face. He yanks it down to start rooting through the contents until he finds everything he needs.
Leonard's patched up enough boo-boos to know a thing or two about first-aid. His hands are quick and nimble and the process is more or less painless. The worst of it is the pinch he gives the back of Ray's hand when he's done. ]
[ The bandaid is neon and has cartoon robots on it. Appropriate considering the demographic of grown-ass men too invested in picking fights or finishing their projects to worry about keeping their blood inside of their bodies. ]
[ Leonard wasn't expecting that. He's surprised for a moment, tense, because he doesn't like surprises- then his kisses Ray back. Breaks the kiss to whisper against the corner of his mouth. ]
[ Ray leans back, resting his arms on top of Len's legs. This is very much not his secret to tell, but technically he's known for months and it's probably better if Len avoids that particular joke around Sara. ]
Not Sara, Laurel. I'm not there yet, timeline-wise, but I'm pretty sure Sara is.
[ Leonard tries not to look as shaken as he feels. He crosses his arms over his chest and finds something to look at on Ray's bench. Anything but into his eyes, where Ray might see that he's upset.
Losing Lisa is Leonard's worst fear. Big sister or little sister, he can't imagine that fear realized. ]

And gimme a bite of your bagel.

Practical or sexy? Because I'm only good at one of those.
no subject
[ Leonard takes a chomp out of the bagel right from Ray's hand. ]
You're the most impractical man I know.
no subject
Yeah okay, that's fair.

[ Leonard wasn't here to screw. He was enjoying his coffee and his bagel. The company, too.
There's a big part of him that's all about taking things from other people, but that's not all there is. Or wants to be. ]
So what's all this, an Atari?
no subject
[ That's one of his projects, anyway, he has four others lying around. ]
no subject
Just building it from scratch?

[ He grabs Ray's wrist and turns his hand over to scrutinize the wrapping. ]
You're gonna have a hard time finishing anything if your hand falls off. There's a little thing called tetanus you might want to worry about first.
no subject
[ Yeah okay, he was almost expecting that. The rag he used was pretty dirty and there's blood soaking through it. ]
I cut myself peeling the wires, it's not serious. Besides, I'm vaccinated.
no subject
[ He starts peeling away the dirty rag, nose wrinkling in disgust. Leonard isn't squeamish, he's just got a healthy respect for hygiene. ]
Got a vaccination against that?
no subject
[ It's a shallow cut across his palm, not bad, just messy because Ray didn't bother wrapping it properly. ]
It would take me three hours tops. But by then I'd probably be a full zombie.

Bad.

[ It's not a lie, the Waverider is always a possibility. But the truth was he'd been busy and hadn't wanted to stop.
He's pretty sure saying that would just get him pinched again, though. ]
Sorry. Thanks.

Do it again and you're getting Barbie.

I like dinosaurs.
[ Then he remembers kissing is allowed now, so he leans in to do that. ]
no subject
Bad boys don't get dinosaurs.
no subject
I can be good.

[ Leonard remembers. All the random factoids about Ray's life and childhood are kept neatly stored in his brain for future mockery and/or usage. ]
Nothing big enough to eat a canary. We already lost one.

Wow, I don't think we should go there.

[ He rolls his eyes and pulls back to kick his legs up over Ray's lap. ]
Sara couldn't stay dead if she tried.

It ain't our business.
no subject
[ He can't relate to the feeling, nor the fear. He hasn't really had a brother in ages.
He can relate to lose, though, and grief. And he can tell Len's affected, also that Len doesn't want him to notice, so he just pats his leg. ]
I don't think she meant to tell me the first time she was here, it was just recent. I think it slipped out.
